Black Adam, a new superhero film starring Dwayne Johnson, will be released in cinemas in the United States on Friday, October 21, 2022. The forthcoming film is the eleventh installment in the DCEU (DC Extended Universe), and is based on the DC Comics character Black Adam. Aldis Hodge, a critically regarded American actor, will portray Carter Hall as Hawkman in the next superhero film.
Rory Haines, Adam Sztykiel, and Sohrab Noshirvani wrote the script, and Jaume Collet-Serra directed it. Dwayne Johnson, the film’s primary actor, also serves as producer, with Hiram Garcia, Beau Flynn, and Dany Garcia. Lawrence Sher served as cinematographer, while Lorne Balfe composed the music for the film.
According to the official summary of the film:
“Teth Adam was entrusted with the gods’ great abilities in ancient Kahndaq. He was imprisoned after utilizing his talents for revenge, becoming Black Adam. After over 5,000 years, Black Adam has progressed from man to myth to legend. His distinctive brand of justice, forged out of wrath, is now being challenged by modern-day heroes Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone.”
The official trailer for the superhero film, released by Warner Bros., showed glimpses of Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall aka Hawkman. Fans have been anticipating Black Adam to see what the main figure would bring to the table.

Aldis Hodge made his acting debut in the blockbuster 1995 film Die Hard with a Vengeance as Raymond.
