Career
He received a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the tutelage of Vinicius Magalhaes and Carlos Gracier Jr. Vinicius Magalhaes is a sixth-degree black belt, and Carlos Gracier Jr is an eighth-degree black belt. After moving to New Mexico, he opened his own schools in Santa Fe and Albuquerque and began teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He began MMA in 2002 and won every fight till 2005.
After a two-year hiatus, he returned to the UFC in 2007. Unfortunately, he was beaten by Roger Huerta by TKO in the third round of the UFC 74. In his next fight in the UFC, he was defeated by Kurth Pellegrino by TKO in the second round. After selling his Jiu-Jitsu Academy in 2007, he relocated to the Los Angeles area.
