Al Primo began his career as a news executive at KDKA-TV in 1953. He worked with the club for 11 years until leaving in 1964. In June 1965, he was hired as Director of News & Public Affairs by KYW-TV. He departed in September 1968 and worked for WABC-TV in the same job until June 1972. His other professional experience came from ABC TV when he was employed in 1968. For nine years, he was Vice President of News and Executive Producer at this network. Al is now the President of Eyewitness Kids News. They create 30-minute-long television shows.
Death
Primo was discovered dead at his house in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, on September 29, 2022. He died of cancer at the age of 87.
