Adam Rippon is an American former figure skater whose full name is Adam Richard Rippon. He began skating in 1999 and retired in 2018 when he was a member of the New York Skating Club. He is well-known for winning numerous championships both in and out of the United States.
He has skated for various continents and won the four continents championship in 2010. When he first started out, he won a lot of junior championships. Adam Rippon was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on November 11, 1989. He was born into an Irish Catholic family as the first of six children. He was born with severe hearing loss, which necessitated surgery before completing his first year at Yale University. Fortunately, he was able to regain his hearing.
His parents divorced when he was 15 years old, in 2004. His mother’s name is Kelly, and she was a former skater and dancer who taught him to skate when he was young, and he skated for the first time when he was ten years old.

Career
Adam Rippon began skating at the age of ten, and in 2000 he began working with Yelena Sergeeva, who coached him for seven years until 2007. In 2004-05, he won his first silver medal at the 2005 US Championships. He also competed in the junior division of the Triglav Trophy in 2005, where he won a gold medal. He competed in several other junior championships before leaving Sergeeva in 2007 to join Nikolai Morozov in February of the same year.
Rippon has never missed a single championship since 2007, which happens every year. During the 2007-08 season, he competed in the ISU Junior Grand Prix, where he won a gold and silver medal, qualifying him for the finals. He won another gold medal and went on to compete in the 2008 US Championships, where he won the junior title.
In the 2008-09 season, he made his senior debut. He sprained his ankle and had to miss some training during the 2009-10 season, and he finished sixth overall that year.
