Adam Gase is an American football coach. Adam Gase was always fascinated by football and aspired to be a professional player. However, he was unable to pursue a career as a player.
He was a member of his high school’s team, Marshall High School. Later, while still an undergraduate at Michigan State University, he began his coaching career. He assisted the coaching staff as a student assistant.
After graduating from Michigan State, he joined coach Nick Saban at LSU for the 2000 season. In his first season, he worked as a defensive graduate assistant and assisted with recruiting. He worked as a recruiting assistant for the Tigers for the next two years.
After leaving LSU, he worked as a scouting assistant for the Detroit Lions, where he was hired by Steve Mariucci. He worked as an offensive assistant as well as a scouting assistant during the 2005 season.
Under head coach Rod Marinelli, he was promoted to offensive quality control coach in 2006. Under new coach Mike Martz, he was promoted to quarterbacks coach the following year.
