Ada Ameh, a Nigerian comedian and actress, died on July 17 at the age of 48. Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, broke the news. Her reason for death is still unknown. However, it has been verified that she died on Sunday at about 11 p.m. at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Hospital. Ameh’s death comes only two years after the loss of her daughter, Aladi Godgift, after a failed operation in October 2020.
Ada Ameh was suffering from depression
According to sources, Ada fell while visiting an oil business worker and his family. She was taken to the hospital right away, but she died before she arrived. Following the deaths of her family members, the actress was allegedly dealing with mental health concerns. Ada had already lost six siblings and her father before her daughter died in 2020. In June 2022, she highlighted her issues with mental health and claimed that she had been offered a job but was unable to accept it due to her emotional state.
She said in a video on her Instagram page:
“Everything will be well. I’m now dealing with a problem that is threatening my life. I will not perish. We shall overcome it.”
Ada discussed her battle with sadness after her daughter died on a television broadcast on July 1, 2022.

Ada Ameh’s Early Life, Career, and Other Facts
Ada Ameh, who was born on May 15, 1974, has been a member of the Nigerian film business for almost two decades. She rose to prominence for her roles in the 1996 film Domitilla and the popular television series The Johnsons. Ameh was reared in Ajegunle, Lagos, and completed her schooling there as well. She did, however, drop out of school when she was 14 years old. She first appeared in Nollywood in 1995, with the film Domitilla. Zeb Ejiro produced and directed the film, which was a box office triumph. She later featured in the Nigerian TV program The Johnsons, which was similarly well-received.
Despite being a popular actress, Ameh had to deal with a number of issues during her life. She got pregnant at the age of 13 years. Ameh said to Chude Jideonwo in 2021 that her classmates had encouraged her to get pregnant. She further said,
