After actor Park Bo-gum passed his barber license test, South Korea has discovered a hot new hairstyling hotspot. On August 31, 2020, the Reply 1988 celebrity joined the Navy as part of his obligatory military duty. Because of his exceptional musical ability, the actor is presently a member of the military band. On February 2, a Korean navy official said that the Hallyu singer had completed the practical exam of the National Technical Qualification Examination to become a skilled technician, barber, in December 2020. The skilled actor apparently applied to the Naval Education and Training Command in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, to become a barber. Park Bo-gum is presently serving as a navy sergeant at Gyeryongdae, South Chungcheong Province.
According to the naval officer,
“The military encourages troops to receive certifications that may be utilized for self-development or when they leave the service, and [we] are building procedures and circumstances to support this.” In addition to Sergeant Park, numerous troops are getting military diplomas.”
The actor’s interest in acquiring technical skills was widely known, but his choice to become a barber has taken fans by surprise. Many joked that they would go to any length to obtain a haircut from Park Bo-gum. The exam consists of two parts: a written examination and a technical test.
