Abigail Cowen was born on March 18, 1998, in Gainesville, Florida, to Andrew and Leslie LeMasters Cowen. She grew up on a farm with her brother Dawson. Cowen had an early interest in acting. In Florida, she attended Oveido High School. Apart from acting, she was also interested in athletics and was a track and field athlete in high school. Abigail Cowen subsequently attended the University of Florida to study public relations. Following this, she chose to go to Los Angeles in search of acting possibilities. She earned the part of Brooklyn in Fox’s iconic medical comedy series Red Band Society while she was in her late teens. Her career in the entertainment world took off at that point.
Cowen went on to appear in popular programs such as Stranger Things, Wisdom of the Crowd, and Fosters. She rose to prominence as Dorcas Night in Netflix’s highly acclaimed horror series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Her participation in the program was praised by both fans and reviewers.
