Aaron Carter, an American rapper, and musician died unexpectedly at the age of 34. He was discovered dead inside a bathtub after the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a plea for aid at his California home around 11 a.m. local time on Saturday. According to law enforcement, his corpse was found by a home caretaker, who then contacted the police. His death was officially verified on Page Six in an official statement by his representative:
“It is with deep sadness that I report Aaron Carter was discovered unconscious this morning in his Palmdale, California residence.” The family has been alerted and will go to Los Angeles.”
It went on to say:
“Toward the end of his life, Aaron worked extremely hard in recovery, to be a decent parent, and to make atonement with his family.”
Melanie Martin, Carter’s on-again, off-again girlfriend with whom he shares his son Prince, also spoke to TMZ about the singer’s death:
“My fiancé Aaron Carter has died. I adore Aaron and know that raising a boy without a father will be difficult. Please respect my family’s privacy as we come to grips with the death of someone we adore.”
She continued, saying:
“We are still coming to terms with this awful truth.” Your prayers and thoughts are much appreciated.”
Officials reportedly informed TMZ that murder investigators were sent to Carter’s residence, but there was no evidence of foul play. Meanwhile, according to another spokesperson, his immediate cause of death is being investigated:
“We are very grieved and horrified to announce Aaron Carter’s death tonight.” His death is being examined at the time. We ask that you allow the family some time, and they will provide further information as soon as it becomes available. We can’t describe how grateful we are for the outpouring of kindness.”

Carter was arrested on suspicion of DUI almost three days before his death after being spotted driving a recreational vehicle irresponsibly. However, after passing field sobriety tests, the rapper was released. The I’m All About You singer allegedly battled addiction throughout his life. He sought treatment after losing custody of his kid in September. During a 2019 visit to The Doctors, he also discussed his mental health difficulties. Carter admitted to having manic depression, severe anxiety, schizophrenia, and dissociative identity disorder.

Aaron Carter was a rapper, singer, and actor from the United States. He started playing at the age of seven and rose to prominence after releasing his self-titled first album at the age of nine in 1997 and opening for his brother Nick Carter’s band Backstreet Boys the same year. In the late 1990s, he became a teen superstar and went on to record four more studio albums. Carter has been featured in television series such as House of Carters, Lizzie McGuire, and Dancing with the Stars.
