The second season of VH1’s Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop is now running, and the most recent episode has sparked some concerns regarding Erica Mena and Safaree’s relationship. The spin-off brings together diverse cast members from New York, Atlanta, Hollywood, and Miami to talk about life as they reconvene, sometimes for the first time in years. Erica Mena and Safaree, who appeared on both the New York and Atlanta editions of Love & Hip Hop, reconnected for their second wedding anniversary in the most recent episode. People are now perplexed about their marital status. Are they still together? Divorced? Or are you reuniting? Here are all of the answers you need.
About Their Relationship
Erica Mena, a model, and Safaree Samuels, a rapper and record producer, originally met on VH1’s Scared Famous in 2017 before joining the cast of Love & Hip Hop New York, where their romance was avidly watched. They began dating in 2018, got engaged a month later, and married the following year. They then left Love and Hip Hop: New York to appear on the Atlanta edition of the program. The couple married in October 2019 at the Legacy Castle in New Jersey in a quiet ceremony attended by just a few friends and family members.
Erica and Safaree had two children together, a girl named Safire Majesty Samuels in February 2020 and a boy named Legend Brian Samuels in June 2021. King Conde, the reality star’s elder son from a previous marriage, was also born.
Erica Sought Divorce In 2021
When Erica filed for divorce in May 2021, just weeks before the birth of their son Legend, the relationship came crumbling down. According to Page Six, Erica filed the petitions in Georgia’s Fayette County Superior Court because she thought the marriage was “irretrievably destroyed” and there was “no possibility of reconciliation.” They also said that she was requesting child custody, child support, exclusive use of their Georgia house, and money to pay legal bills.
Safaree had threatened divorce six months earlier, in November 2021, tweeting: “Ending 2020 correctly!!! as a BACHELOR!!” He didn’t, though, and subsequently remarked, “A man is nothing without his family.” I’m not a bachelor, and I adore my wife. I would never insult my child’s or wife’s mother.”
Their Marriage Ended In 2022
Erica and Safaree aren’t together in 2022, and as far as we know, they’re both alone right now. During the most recent Family Reunion program, Safaree profusely apologized to Erica and said that he “would always love her,” generating rumors that they were reuniting. However, according to public information, they have no intention of resuming their relationship and are just co-parents.

Erica seized the microphone while partying at a nightclub in September 2021, about the same time the program was taped, and said that she was celebrating her divorce. “Can we say this together, ladies?” Please pray for him. Please pray for him! You may increase the volume again, DJ. I’m now officially single! “This is my divorce party!” she said, dressed in an orange strappy dress.
