A look at Becca Tobin’s difficult path to parenthood.
Zach Martin and Becca Tobin met via mutual acquaintances and were engaged in May 2016. The pair married in a secret ceremony presided by the former’s Glee co-star Jane Lynch in Wyoming that same year. Tobin revealed to her LadyGang podcast co-hosts Keltie Knight and Jac Vanek in 2020 that she had two consecutive pregnancy losses and had had in-vitro fertilization. During an interview with People the same year, she also discussed her infertility struggles:
“Thousands and millions of women are going through this. I thought it was a disservice not to put everything out there when our whole brand is based on talking about what’s going on in your life, the ups and downs.”
Tobin claimed on the LadyGang podcast last year that she and her husband preserved their embryos after her second loss. During her reproductive troubles in her 30s, the actress claimed that she had a false feeling of confidence in her ability to produce a child but was relieved after learning about the IVF procedure:
“I didn’t understand how much weight would be lifted the instant I realized I didn’t have to rush up and keep trying to obtain something good.”
Chasen hooked out with the Bachelor in Paradise star. This month, Nick Tobin and Martin welcomed their first child, son Rutherford ‘Ford’ Thomas Martin.
