David Banner, Everything You Need To Know About His Relationship

David Banner

David Banner, an American rapper, says he’s sexualized black women in his songs enough. His 2015 song ‘Marry Me’ was a love letter to all black ladies, and he’s hunting for a black wife. David Banner has avoided sexualizing women in his lyrics. The early 2000s hitmaker has long fought for black women’s independence.

Banner wants to be a model African man most black ladies would like to marry. The 46-year-old bachelor seems eager to marry a woman of color and have children after becoming financially successful.

He’s Already Caused Enough Harm

In a November 2015 interview with Essence, the rapper said he had trivialized black women throughout his career. Probably because some of his songs only acknowledged women’s sexuality. While he doesn’t judge other musicians who do the same, he says he needs to “clean his spirit” and “balance his energies.”

To be fair, it’s not like the rapper woke up one day and chose to alter his music. Along with his club bangers with weak lyrics, the rapper has been delivering thought-provoking tracks like Cadillac’s on 22’s, Bush, Ridin, and others. The matured rapper seems to base his stance on vital concerns other than sexuality, such as empowerment and principles.

His Attempt To Reinstate Marriage As An Institution

The Like A Pimp singer has said numerous times that women of color don’t feel desired. As he proposes, this may be because wealthy black men don’t marry black women, and if they do, the women don’t seem African.

The average black woman has lost trust in marriage and settles for men who don’t provide or treat her well.

The Mississippi rapper argues his 2015 single Marry Me revives black marital dreams. Through the song, he wants black women to know that a successful black man (like himself) still wants a black bride.

This song is for [all] Black ladies, but it is particularly for dark-skinned black women. Our ladies do not feel safe in our society. They don’t feel desired. When you look at who most so-called individuals of success pander to, nine times out of ten, it is not a Black lady at all. And if there are any, they aren’t our cousins or great-grandmothers. And I told him, “Man if nobody else in the world says they love them, respect them, and want them, it’ll be me.”

The banner seems to be single, with just one rumored relationship.

In 2015, the rapper declared he didn’t have time for marriage because of his music, movies, and business interests (he owns a multimedia firm called “A Banner Vision”). Now that his company is self-sustaining, the actor-rapper-entrepreneur says he can be a “wonderful parent and spouse.”

Despite showing signs of readiness for marriage over 5 years ago, the 46-year-old is still unmarried. Furthermore, throughout his whole public life, the renowned hip-hop singer has only been linked to one woman, actress Tichina Arnold. However, neither party confirmed the report, thus, their supposed connection remains a mystery.
