Julio Macias has been in the industry for almost a decade. In 2018, he was cast as tattooed gang boss Oscar ‘Spooky’ Diaz in the Netflix series On My Block. His show brother is Cesar Diaz. By season 3, Spooky had left the gang life and had a girlfriend with a baby on the way, while Cesar had become the new head of the Santos gang. The program made Macias famous. Is Julio Macias Married?
We’re all aware that actors must through bizarre makeup changes, and Macias, who played Spooky, looks nothing like the character he portrays. Without the large neck and face tattoo, facial hair, and shaved head, one would be hard-pressed to identify the person playing the character. Fans often make second takes when they see Macias in his regular attire on Instagram. The actor maintains his account pretty professional, posting just work images and not much about his personal life. In an interview with Hollywood Life, the actor revealed that his wife is from Orange County.
We don’t know much about his marriage, although he’s been seeing Shannon Schotter for years. His wife, unlike Macias, shows him photos from dates, vacations, and excursions. Schotter commented on Instagram on their fourth anniversary, “Every day I’m thankful for four years together!” Schotter is a cosmetologist, cosmetics, and FX artist. Schotter’s freelancing work includes commercials, film, TV, music videos, and internet content.

Aside from having a wife who works in the same business as him and claims to be Spooky, Macias is most recognized for his role as Selena Quintanilla’s backing singer Pete Astudillo in Netflix’s Selena: The Series. Season 2 of the series was published on Netflix on May 4.
The Mexican-American actor has discussed how his musical interests helped him connect with a member of Selena’s band, Los Dinos. During a People interview, he stated: I compose music but don’t share it. I wasn’t expecting to do so much dancing, and I’m not sure I can dance as well as Pete. Macias saw it as a fun challenge and began working out at the gym to improve his two-step. Because Astudillo was a fantastic dancer, the actor said he rehearsed his cumbia while cooking, bathing, and waiting his turn at the grocery store to make it appear natural.
