Debbie grew up in Orange County and moved to the United States after marrying her soccer coach husband. Jurgen and Debbie originally met when Jurgen was playing soccer for Inter Milan.
Debbie was modeling for numerous companies at the time and was represented by the Elite Model Agency. She started modeling at the age of 17 and won the Look of the Year Contest in 1987 when she was 18. A few years before Debbie, Cindy Crawford, one of the best supermodels of all time, won the same competition. Jurgen and Debbie married the wedding in Milan in 1995. Debbie, however, withdrew from the modeling world after her wedding to the soccer manager. Though it is a normal experience for many women throughout the globe, many models have continued to work after marriage and having children.

Jonathan Klinsmann, Jurgen’s son, plays soccer for the Italian Serie C Group B team Cesena. The 26-year-old goalkeeper spent his adolescent years traveling between Munich and California. Jonathan has dual citizenship in Germany and the United States, although he has represented Team USA on a global scale. He started for the U-20 US squad that won the CONCACAF Championship in 2017.
In 2017, Jonathan started his professional career with Hertha BSC II before moving on to St. Gallen in Switzerland. Jonathan joined the MLB club, the Los Angeles Galaxy, in 2020 and has also played for their reserve team. However, he just moved teams and even expressed gratitude to the MLS team on his Instagram account.
