Trisha Segura, the basketball player’s mother, confirmed it on Facebook. Trisha’s relationship status on Facebook is “separate.” Trisha, a Chicago native, has posted various images from her early life on her page. She frequently tweets about her son’s accomplishments, including a recent post about him making the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.

Sean Pryor, Kasean’s father, is a former basketball player who played collegiately for Oregon State from 1995 to 1998. He also served as the team’s captain for two seasons. Sean continued his basketball career in France and Puerto Rico before returning to the United States and joining the business sector. He spent three years at Encore Nationwide before returning to the sporting sector.

In 2006, he assumed the post of assistant head coach at Minerals Area College. Sean has previously worked with AAU and high school basketball before joining the Minerals. Sean went to Mineral Area College for four years before becoming an assistant men’s basketball coach at Chicago State University. He worked in the same job for six years in Chicago and then one year at New Mexico Highlands University.

Sean was named Eastern Michigan University’s athletic academic advisor in 2017. He coordinated and advised baseball, women’s volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, and track & field. Sean has served as Grand Canyon University’s academic coordinator for beach volleyball, men’s golf, and women’s golf programs since 2020. Sean is also a member of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association and the Black Coaches Association. The former basketball star has avoided social media, and Kasean has never posted any family-related anything on his Instagram account.

Kasean Pryor’s Career

Kasean is a Chicago, Illinois native who graduated from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. Kasean was a two-year letterwinner at Ann Arbor, with a senior year average of 15 points and nine rebounds. He was also chosen to the All-State and First-Team All-Southeastern Conference Red lists. The forward was named to the second-team Ann Arbor Area Dream Team after averaging 14 points and nine rebounds in his junior season. Kasean went on to play two seasons at Boise State after graduating from Ann Arbor.

Kasean averaged 1.2 points and 1.0 rebounds over five games in his first season. His statistics improved in his second year when he played eight games and averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds. Kasean later enrolled at Northwest Florida State, where he played and started 35 games in his only season. He averaged 14.8 points per game. Kasean announced his decision to attend the University of South Florida in May 2023, choosing them over NC State, St John’s, and New Mexico.
