Will Compton, or William Earl Compton III, was a collegiate football player at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Compton, who redshirted in 2008, was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten pick and team captain in his final year. When he signed a three-year deal with the Washington Redskins in 2013, he started his professional career. The linebacker spent his career with the Washington Redskins (2013-2017), Tennessee Titans (2018, 2020), Oakland Raiders (2019), and Las Vegas Raiders (2021). On September 3, 2023, the Missouri native announced his retirement from professional football.
Charo Compton, Will Compton’s Wife
Will Compton began dating his wife, Charo Bishop on May 27, 2017. After four years, the pair married on June 26, 2021, in an outdoor wedding ceremony at Montana’s Rainbow Ranch Lodge. The newlyweds loved their vacation in Bora Bora, a French Polynesian island. On April 3, 2022, only one year after their marriage, the couple received their lovely daughter Cerulean Belle Compton. Mrs. Compton announced her pregnancy in September 2021 with an ultrasound photograph, expressing her pleasure at embarking on the parenthood path.

In terms of education, Charo earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland in 2009. Before that, from June 2007 to May 2008, she worked as a staff accountant at Rocha & Company. In 2011, she began working full-time in financial services and real estate as an experienced associate with Price Waterhouse Coopers. Will’s wife also served as a part-time NFL cheerleader for the Washington Redskins from 2010 to 2016. Charo also worked as a tax accountant at TEGNA for almost three years. Charo is now working as a franchise operations manager at Barre3.
Will Compton Has Announced His Retirement
Will Compton has been in the NFL for over a decade. He has opted to retire after failing to sign with the Atlanta Falcons. The Nebraska alumnus announced his decision on Twitter and Instagram. The caption stated:
“After nine, if not ten, years in the NFL, I am officially retiring.” I honestly cannot express how thankful I am for this game and the individuals that have accompanied me on this trip. Thank you very much to everyone. “I’ll see you in Canton, OH.”
The former NFL great has not revealed his intentions after retirement. He will almost certainly continue to broadcast his podcast, “Bussin with the Boys,” alongside offensive lineman Taylor Lewan. Compton, on the other hand, will undoubtedly love his retired life with his wife, Charo, and gorgeous daughter, Cerulean Belle.
