Nana Ghaleb Biography:
Nana Ghaleb was born on February 4, 2004, in Beirut, Lebanon. She has two sisters, Joya Ghaleb and Charlie-Joe Dekmak, as well as one brother, Joseph Ghaleb. Her parents are Rima El Adem and Saad Ghaleb.
She was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder at the age of 9 and started drawing as a coping mechanism. A few years later, she opened an Instagram account and began posting her traditional and digital art which got recognized by a huge number of people, including high-profile celebrities like Ariana Grande and Madison Beer.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and along with some personal problems, her panic attacks got worse and she was later diagnosed with a panic disorder. This fueled her decision to quit posting art and instead, she started discussing mental health issues and supporting her followers. She was also an ambassador to Anera, an American NGO that aims to help Lebanon. Additionally, she publicly supports many NGOs including the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, CCCL, and Sanad, The Home Hospice Organization of Lebanon.
Nana Ghaleb Career:
Other than being a social media influencer and content creator, Nana is currently a full-time university student at the University of Balamand. She is majoring in Medical Laboratory Sciences and aims to pursue a Ph.D. in the field of Hematology and Oncology. When asked about what inspired her decision, she says that oncology has always been an area of interest to her. Additionally, one of her university professors, Dr. Zeina Dassouki, has influenced and encouraged her immensely.
Throughout her lifetime, Nana has never failed to express gratitude toward the people around her. Despite living in a whirlwind world and having a lot of responsibilities, she feels a lot of appreciation for her mom, who is her ultimate role model, her family, friends, colleagues, and professors. She believes that even acquaintances have had an impact on her life in one way or another. To her, you never meet anyone by accident.
