Benjamin was spotted by an agent when performing for the first time on a huge stage in Rennes, France, during the Rencontres Trans Musicales in December 2012. He soon began appearing at prestigious events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, and the Eurosonic Festival. He eventually secured a song licensing agreement with Capitol, Virgin EMI, and Barclay.
Cornerstone, his debut EP, was released in June 2013 and included three studio songs. In October 2013, he re-released the album with three new acoustic songs made for Deezer. Behind Records issued his second EP, Glorious You, the following year. His first album, At Least for Now, was released on January 12, 2015 by the label Behind Records/Barclay.
