Novelist Salman Rushdie is a British-American of Indian descent. He published “Grimus,” his debut book, although it did not receive a lot of favorable reviews. His second book, “Midnight’s Children,” which was published in 1981, won the Booker Prize and was named “the best novel of all winners” on both the 25th and 40th anniversaries of the award.
His previous books are Quichotte (2019), The Golden House (2017, reprinted in 2019), The Ground Beneath Her Feet (1999), and The Enchantress of Florence (2008).
