Dan Finnerty is the main vocalist of the popular comedic band The Dan Band. Its live event was taped in Los Angeles for the Bravo channel’s one-hour concert program Dan Finnerty & The Dan Band: I Am Woman. In the film Old School, Finnerty gained renown for his comically foul-mouthed version of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” as the wedding singer at Will Ferrell’s wedding.
Todd Phillips directed it, and Dan appeared later on as his celebrity grew. Then he appeared in Starsky & Hutch as a bat-mitzvah singer and again in The Hangover as the hilarious wedding singer. He was then cast in The Terminal and agreed to executive produce his comedy special. Finnerty subsequently goes on to play at “Rock of Ages” in Los Angeles.
