Chefs will battle against one other and Alex Guarnaschelli in the forthcoming season of Alex vs. America. They all join the challenge with the same goal in mind: to defeat Alex in her own kitchen. In each episode, three chefs from throughout the United States of America will compete in two rounds, hosted by Eric Adjepong. The chefs and Guarnaschelli will have the option of working together to choose ingredients and determine how much time is on the clock in the first round of Alex vs. America. The meals created by the candidates will be blind-tasted by two judges who will determine who advances to the next round.
As an advantage of winning, the winner of the first round determines the factors of the subsequent challenge. The second-round winner receives “bragging rights and a cash prize.” Alex Guarnaschelli discussed the forthcoming season, saying that returning to the program was a dream come true. She expressed her excitement about bringing a new season of Alex vs. America to the Food Network alongside Eric Adjepong. The chef expressed her delight once again, saying she couldn’t wait to take her audience along for the ride. She went on to say:
“I am so excited to take audiences on this journey as I pour my blood, sweat, and tears — literally! — into every culinary battle, as a group of chefs showcases their skills in an attempt to beat me.”
Jane Latman, Warner Bros. Discovery’s head of the home and culinary programming, commented about the program. She remarked that the network is really thrilled for the chef to return to the ring and face a fresh crop of chefs who are all motivated to beat one of Alex’s. Latman described Alex as “one of the toughest and most hardworking chefs in the country.”
“With cameras following Alex’s every move during the culinary battles, viewers are treated to a raw and fast-paced culinary competition unlike any other, which has helped the show become a hit.”
