Phil Baroni made his UFC debut at UFC 30 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He faced off against another hitting expert, Curtis Stout, and triumphed by majority vote. Baroni was unbeaten before going 3-0 before facing Matt Lind Land in his second bout, which he lost. However, Baroni soon becomes known for his UFC bouts.
