Season 2 of Sweet Appetite will have eight segments.
The series’ social media accounts wrote: while sharing an update about the forthcoming season along with several first-look photos:
“All mixes, please. We’ve returned! Sweet Appetite Season 2 will be available exclusively on Netflix on April 27.”
The first season concluded with the Last Men imprisoning Gus in an abandoned menagerie. The Last Men are a militia organization headed by the malevolent General Abbot (Neil Sandilands). Gus (Christian Convery) decides to join up with Dr. Singh in season 2 to defend his friends, thus “starting a grim voyage into his beginnings and his mother Birdie’s (Amy Seimetz) involvement in the events building up to The Great Collapse.”
To be sure, the next season, like the first, will have eight segments, all of which are anticipated to be released on the same day. The following is a summary of the forthcoming season, as provided by the OTT giant:
“As a lethal new surge of the Infected barrels down, Gus and a gang of fellow hybrids are kept prisoner by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men. Abbot uses the children as material for the trials of prisoner Dr. Aditya Singh, who is rushing to save his sick wife Rani (Aliza Vellani) in order to secure control.”
Aside from those already stated, the Sweet Appetite season 2 ensemble also includes:
- Naledi Murray as Wendy
- Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. as Teddy Turtle
- Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear
- Marlon Williams as Johnny Abbot
- Yonas Kibreab as Finn Fox
Meanwhile, two-time Golden Globe winner James Brolin will serve as the series narrator. From January to May 2022, the season 2 crew set up base in Warkworth and Auckland, New Zealand. Season 1’s only filming site was also in the country.
