Season 21 of American Idol
Season 21 of American Idol, or season 6 according to ABC, will be hosted by producer Ryan Seacrest. Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, Jennifer Mullin, and Megan Michaels Wolflick are producing the season. After the tryouts in Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Nashville, judge Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie will decide who qualifies for Hollywood week and other challenges.
The series is described by ABC as follows:

Auditionees who obtain a golden ticket will advance to the next challenge, Hollywood Week, while Platinum ticket winners will be allowed to bypass the first round of Hollywood Week. The final 24 singers will be allowed to compete in live challenges against each other and collect public votes to win American Idol season 21 after several clashes. The producers have not disclosed the season’s financial award, although the previous season’s victor won $250,000.
