Career
Walt moved away from Illinois to pursue his acting career. He relocated to New York and landed his first soap opera job on Ryan’s Hope. Prior to joining the cast of All My Children, he appeared in a number of Off-Broadway productions, including Dust Off with Dan Lauria and appearances on Another World and Ryan’s Hope. Later that year, in 1981, he began stand-up comedy. At this time, he made headlines at well-known comedy clubs such as Caroline’s in Manhattan and the Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
He has recently continued to develop community theatre in Ottawa, including “Arsenic and Old Lace”, “Plaza Suite”, “Harvey”, “Deathtrap”, and “Auntie Mame”.
