Next Level Chef, one of Gordon Ramsay’s successful reality television culinary competition programs, features him as an executive producer and coach. The show’s second season is ready to begin, exposing fans to 13 new chefs. On Next Level Chef season 2, 13 exceptional cooks will compete to impress Gordon Ramsay and the other two culinary gurus. They will be put to the ultimate test in a three-story kitchen where they will be asked to demonstrate their ability.
Mark McMillian, a former NFL veteran, and Emmy Award winner, is one of the cooks on Next Level Chef season 2. Mark got the coveted Emmy Award in October 1995 for his participation in Randall Cunningham’s monthly pregame program. He was a Kansas City Chiefs defensive back. Despite his eight years of expertise in athletics, he has just three years of experience as a cook.
Next Level Chef season 2’s official summary is as follows:
“Next Level Chef is the next evolution in cooking contests, produced by Studio Ramsay Global and FOX Alternative Entertainment, as Ramsay has developed a one-of-a-kind culinary gauntlet set on an iconic stage like you’ve never seen.”
It went on to say:
“Each level of the three-story building has a strikingly diverse kitchen. The ingredients complement the atmosphere, from the gleaming top floor to the tough bottom of the basement, since Ramsay thinks that the ultimate measure of great chefs is not just what they can achieve in the greatest of conditions, but what sort of magic they can produce in the worst!”

Season 2 participant on Next Level Chef Mark won the high school sprint title.
Former NFL running back turned chef was a high school sprint champion. He started two years at Glendale Junior College in California. His outstanding performance earned him notoriety and the opportunity to play for the University of Alabama under well-known coach Gene Stallings. Mark still owns the Alabama record for the longest interception touchdown in school history. According to his official website:
“Mark was picked in the 10th round by the Philadelphia Eagles and won accolades as a rookie by being named to the coveted All-Madden Team.”
It went on to say:
“McMillian had some of his most recognized accomplishments as a cornerback with the Kansas City Chiefs under coach Marty Schottenheimer after a short time as a New Orleans Saint. McMillian, 5-foot-7-inch, earned the moniker “Mighty Mouse” from his teammates and fans in 1997 after posting a spectacular season with 8 interceptions (tied for the NFL lead) and 3 defensive touchdowns (longest 87 yards).”
Mark also established a Chiefs club record with 274 yards returned. He now lives in Los Angeles and works with several organizations to improve the lives of children and young people.
