Scott Alexander, of America’s Got Talent fame, died on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at the age of 52. Jenny Alexander, Scott’s assistant at the American talent competition, broke the heartbreaking news of the magician’s death. She posted two family images and a snapshot of Scott on Instagram on Monday, February 6, informing her followers that Scott had “suffered a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St Kitts.”
Jenny Alexander said in the description of her Instagram post:
“My spouse died yesterday. My children have lost their father. He died of a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St Kitts and never returned to us. We’ve been devastated.”
Scott Alexander performed on America’s Got Talent as a magician and made it all the way to the Quarterfinals.

As previously stated, the magician, who died of a stroke, was a participant in the sixth season of the popular American talent show. Scott auditioned for a magic performance that contained a “levitation” technique on the first episode of America’s Got Talent season 6 (2011). He seemed to make a lady materialize from nowhere, supported by water, and then levitate. Scott Alexander’s performance was unanimously accepted by the judges’ panel, which included Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel, and he qualified for the Vegas Round. Scott was one of three magicians that performed performances on the stage in the inaugural episode of Vegas Roud (the 11th episode of the sixth season), with “Fantastic Fig and Cat” and Michael Turco.
However, Scott was the only one of the “Judges’ Favorites” to advance to the following round. Scott Alexander performed an illusion show at Vegas Roud in which a lady vanished and reappeared after traveling from one side of a circle to the other. He advanced to the Season 6 Quarterfinals after receiving unanimous approval from all of the judges.
Scott Alexander had an appearance on the fourth week of America’s Got Talent Season 6 Quarterfinals. Scott performed another magic performance, making a gospel choir vanish and reappear from a distance. Although the seated audience applauded loudly, Scott was regrettably ousted from the competition after his performance did not garner enough votes.
Scott was featured on Penn & Teller: Fool Us season 2 alongside another America’s Got Talent graduate (season 7), The Magic of Puck, after being ousted from AGT. After Scott Alexander died, Jonathan Goodwin, a former escapologist, and daredevil resorted to Twitter to express his feelings. Here’s what Goodwin said on Twitter:
