Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope announced the birth of their first child on Friday, January 20. The couple revealed the name of their daughter, Dylan Rose Lawrence, on Monday, January 16. Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope married on May 1, 2022, in California, and had their first child within a year. The couple created a wonderful statement on Instagram to share more about their baby girl, which stated:
“We brought her into the world with the most incredible midwife, everyone is happy and healthy, and we are ecstatic. What an amazing adventure. Thank you for your unending support for this wonderful new life! Keep an eye out for baby spam xoxo”
Lawrence’s third kid is Dylan Rose, and he also has two daughters from his previous marriage.

Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope married privately in California.
As previously stated, Lawrence married Cope in a private ceremony in May 2022 in the company of the couple’s close friends and family members. Heather Christian Folger of HCD Weddings & Events organized the whole ceremony. Lawrence’s kids, Charleston, 16, and Liberty, 12, from his former marriage to Chandie Yawn-Nelson, attended the wedding at Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, California. The pair had been engaged for about a year prior to their wedding. Through an Instagram post in August 2021, the Blossom star revealed the same. The singer stated:
“Guess the cats are out of the bag! We are grateful for everyone’s incredible support and warm sentiments. We are ecstatic to see what the future holds for us, and knowing that we will grow old and wrinkled together is the greatest gift.”
According to reports, the couple met on the set of a Lifetime movie starring Joey Lawrence’s oldest daughter, Charleston, and directed by his brother Andrew.

Lawrence’s marriage to Samantha Cope is his third, having previously married Michelle Vella and Chandie Yawn-Nelson. He married Vella in 2002, but the couple divorced in 2005. In July 2005, after their divorce, the singer married Yawn-Nelson. The pair married in Disney World, where they met while they were teenagers on vacation. Lawrence and Yawn-Nelson have two kids, Charleston and Liberty, during their almost 15-year marriage.
After filing for bankruptcy in July 2017, the couple separated in 2020. Joey Lawrence met his current wife, Samantha Cope, after his divorce. Cope said during an interview about their connection before marriage:
“It was a secure environment to be me from the start. He adores everything about me and revels in my eccentricities. I felt extremely fortunate to be able to obtain it. ‘I will be with you forever,’ I said after two weeks.”
Lawrence expressed his sentiments in the same interview, saying:
“When you meet the right person, if you’re fortunate enough, it gets straight to the point. I have a friend that is like-minded and speaks the same love language as me, and we communicate in the same manner. That is really crucial. And I’m grateful.”
Following their marriage, the pair announced Cope’s pregnancy in September 2022.
