Boulaye Dia Bio
From the start, there was no such thing as trying to make it as a professional soccer player. Even when he was young, only his older brothers played football. The boys knew the risks because they didn’t want to see their dad fail at soccer.
But it was God’s will for him to become a professional football player. Once upon a time, Boulaye Dia’s family got lucky when they were chosen to play in a 5-player game. We call it the tournament for the Oyonnax neighborhood.
The rest of Boulaye’s family agreed, but his father did not. Harouna, his oldest brother, says that Boulaye’s dad and four brothers joined in after convincing him to do so. Reims
Dia signed a professional contract with Stade de Reims on July 16, 2018, after a successful first season with Jura Sud Foot in which he scored 15 goals in 21 games. On October 20, 2018, he made his professional debut with Reims in a 1–1 draw with Angers in Ligue 1.
Dia scored three goals in a 4–0 win over Montpellier on October 25, 2020. He was the first Reims player to score a hat-trick in the top league since Santiago Santamara in 1978. The club’s first league win of the 2020–21 season came from this game.
Villarreal
On July 13, 2021, Villarreal announced that they had signed Dia from Stade Reims on a five-year deal. When he played his first game for Villareal, against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in 2021, he got a lot of praise for how well he did.

On August 18, 2022, Dia went on loan to Serie A team Salernitana for a year, with an option to buy.
