Kalidou Koulibaly was born on June 20, 1991, in Saint-Die-des-Vosges, France, to parents who were from Senegal. Gemini is his star sign. He is both French and Senegalese by nationality, and he is of African descent.
Koulibaly started playing football with Saint-Die when he was only eight years old. After four years, he switched to Metz, but in 2006, he went back to his old club. Koulibaly went back to Metz in 2009.
Kalidou Koulibaly Football Career
On August 23, 2012, the Swiss team Luzern beat Genk 2–1 in the first leg of a two-leg UEFA Europa championship play-off. This was Koulibaly’s first game with Genk. Between October 6 and October 19, 2013, he scored two goals in two games. On July 2, 2014, he signed a five-year contract with Serie A club S.S.C. Napoli for about £6.5 million.
After that, he scored a header against league leaders Juventus to give the visitors a 1-0 win on April 22, 2018, at the Allianz Stadium. With four games to go, Napoli is now just one point behind Juventus, while Juventus are still in the lead.
Coppa Italia
On June 17, 2020, Koulibaly played in the Coppa Italia Final against Juventus. After a scoreless draw, Napoli won the game 4–2 on penalties. Koulibaly has said more than once that he wants to end his career at Napoli and that he would only leave if the club made a business decision.

Koulibaly continued to play against Juventus in the final of the Coppa Italia on June 17, 2020. After a scoreless draw, Napoli won the game 4–2 on penalties. He was part of Senegal’s team that went to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
In May 2018, Koulibaly was named to Senegal’s 23-person team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. After that, Koulibaly was chosen as a center-back for the national team’s 26-person squad for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
