Career
The New York Giants selected Rosenthal out of Notre Dame in the fifth round of the 1999 NFL Draft. As a rookie with the Giants in 1999, he appeared in nine games, including seven starts. In addition, he appeared in 8 games and started two for the Giants in 2000 and 7 games in 2001. He started all 16 games and the Wildcard Playoff game for the Giants in 2002. Rosenthal signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in March 2003 for $1.8 million. In 2004, he shattered his right foot in the second game of the season.
On September 22, he was put on injured reserve. Furthermore, in 2005, he appeared in all 16 games, starting 12 of them at right tackle. Marcus Johnson took over as the starter in late November, but he returned to start the final two games of the season. In 2002, Rosenthal was inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. As a senior, he was named Gatorade Circle of Champions Player of the Year in Indiana. He also received All-America honors from Parade, SuperPrep, and Blue Chip Illustrated, with SuperPrep naming him the top OL in the country and Blue Chip ranking him second.
