The actor will reprise his crucial role as Dr. Jackson Avery. Season 19 Episode 5 will premiere on the famous ABC network on November 3, 2022, at 9/8c. Shonda Rhimes, the popular American romantic-drama series’ executive producer, and creator developed Williams’ character Dr. Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy. In episode 5 of the sixth season, dubbed Invasion, the character was introduced. Dr. Jackson Avery, played by Jesse Williams, joined Grey’s Anatomy as a surgical resident from Mercy West Medical Center when the facility amalgamated with Seattle Grace. Jesse Williams, the Tony Award-nominated American filmmaker, actor, producer, and activist who plays Dr. Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy, originally rose to prominence as Kwame in the 2006 TV series Law & Order. Aside from Grey’s Anatomy, he is most known for his roles as Don “The Snake” Prudomme in the 2013 sports drama Snake and Mongoose, Holden McCrea in the 2012 horror film The Cabin in the Woods, Todd Walkley in the 2019 slasher film Random Acts of Violence, and Eric Medina in Beyond the Break.
Jesse Williams has appeared in several films throughout the years, including The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, Dirty Dancing 3: Capoeira Nights, Brooklyn’s Finest, The Butler, Money, Selah and the Spades, Band Aid, Jacob’s Ladder, Secret Headquarters, They Die by Dawn, and a few more.
