Career
Andy Dinh began playing ‘League of Legends in Closed Beta in 2008. He used to play alongside his brother, Dan “Man Dinh” Dinh, and quickly rose to prominence. He became popular, and the brothers went on to form one of the first League of Legends teams, ‘All or Nothing.’ It was founded during the League of Legends closed beta in September 2009.
He established the website ‘SoloMid’ in 2009. It was a League of Legends-focused website, one of the first of its kind. After an argument with his brother, he disbanded ‘All or Nothing in 2011. He then formed his own team, ‘Team SoloMid,’ and rose to the position of captain.
In 2011, his team finished third in the League of Legends Season One Championships. They then appeared in Major League Gaming Pro Circuit – Raleigh and Intel Extreme Masters Season VI. His team won first place in the Major League Gaming Providence tournament.
The team also lost at the Kyiv event and the Intel Extreme Masters Hanover event. Following this, Christian “The Rain Man” Kahmann, one of the team’s founding members, resigned. Marcus “Dyrus” Hill eventually took his place.
The new team went on to win numerous North American events, including the regionals. Andy Dinh retired as a League of Legends player at the end of the 2013 season.
