• Trent Boult made his First-Class debut in 2007 after being picked for the New Zealand ‘A’ team’s tour of India.
• After several outstanding first-class performances, he was named to the Under-19 World Cup team in 2008.
• Despite generating headlines, he only made his international debut against Australia in a Test match in Hobart in 2011.
  His international career began brightly, with him taking wickets in series against the West Indies, India, England, and Sri Lanka.
