Nolan Bushnell Biography
Nolan Kay Bushnell was born in Clear Field, Utah, on February 5, 1943. During his high school years, while working at Lagoon Amusement Park, he developed a strong interest in video games.
Nolan Kay Bushnell enrolled at Utah State University in 1961, where he majored in engineering and later switched to business. He chose to attend the University of Utah College of Engineering. He then earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering.
During his time at university, he developed an interest in arcade games while playing Space War Game, and in 1969, he co-founded Syzygy studio with Ted Dabney. They set up the studio specifically to create a clone of the Space War game. Computer Space was the name of the studio.
He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. In the 1960s, he was among the students who learned to use computers.
