Carla Hall was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 12, 1964, and spent most of her youth there. Hillsboro High School was where she finished her education. Hall graduated from Howard University’s Business School in 1986 with a degree in accounting.
She later got a Certified Public Accountant while working at Price Waterhouse in Tampa, Florida. She disliked her job and quit after two years to pursue a career in the culinary arts.
