Mike Portnoy Biography
Mike Portnoy was born in Long Island, Long Beach, New York. His mother died in an incident in 1984 while she was traveling on a plane with her lover to Atlantic City. His father worked as a DJ for a radio station and later moved to California, where he joined the KRML radio station in 1971.
