Hansi Flick is one of the club’s top coaches in its history
When Germany won the FIFA World Cup in 2014, Flick was Low’s assistant. He returned to the club in August 2021 after spending a year and a half at Bayern Munich. Flick was able to turn the Cubs into the most successful club in a short amount of time with Munich. Flick was a Munich assistant coach for the 2018-2019 season until the club sacked Niko Kovac and named him temporary coach in November 2019. He was elevated to head coach the following month.
He guided Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and UEFA Champions League titles in 2019-20, as well as the 2020 UEFA Super Cup the following season.
