Joey Porter began his prep career at Foothill High School in Bakersfield, California, where he was a two-time All-Conference wide receiver. He was also a Trojans running back. Joey Porter was the eighth linebacker chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft.
