Howard Stern Expressed An Interest In Running For President In 2024

Howard Stern

On Monday, June 27, radio presenter Howard Stern showed interest in running for President in 2024. This conclusion was most likely strengthened by the recent revocation of the abortion rights granted by the 1973 Roe v Wade decision. On his own program, Stern aired his thoughts on the Supreme Court Justices’ ruling on abortion rights and discussed potentially replacing them if he were President of the United States. Following his declaration of intention to run for President in 2024, netizens have begun pointing out and criticizing Stern’s experience with blackface.

Netizens criticize Howard Stern’s use of the n-word and blackface pictures

In 2020, Donald Trump Jr. tweeted about a video in which Howard Stern painted his face black and used the n-word many times to ridicule a Black person. Stern’s New Year’s Eve program in 1993 included the performance. Later, on his SiriusXM program, he addressed the issue, saying:

“I’m the first to confess it. I won’t watch those old episodes again; it’s like, ‘Who is that guy?’ But it was my act, that’s what I did, and I’m proud of it. I don’t believe I was accepted by Nazi or hate organizations. They appeared to believe I was also against them. Everyone had something to say about me.”

While others linked the latest events to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau donning a brown face at an “Arabian Nights” themed party in 2001. However, a few tweets appeared to back Stern up.

What did Howard Stern have to say about his possible presidential run?

Stern said on his SiriusXM radio program that he is serious about running for President and is not joking:

“If I do run for President, and I’m not joking, I’m really considering it, because the only other thing I’ll do is nominate five more Supreme Court judges…

I’d want to make the nation fair again… I’m not frightened to try. As soon as I am elected President, you will have five new Supreme Court judges who will reverse all of this nonsense.”

Stern delves more into the probable candidacy in the program. He said:

“Over the weekend, I gave a big speech to Robin about how I’m going to do the very easy thing that would put the nation straight: one vote, one person, no more of this Electoral College. I’m going to get rid of it. ‘Well, can you do that as president?’ Robin said. ‘I don’t know, let’s find out!’ I said.”

Later, he discussed how presidential candidates have far too many agendas. Howard Stern, on the other hand, said that his approach would center on making the United States “fair again.”

He said:

“I’m probably going to have to run for president now.”

According to his statement, one of the key reasons for his present dedication to the US Presidential contest in 2024 is the repeal of the Roe v Wade verdict. He then added another requirement to his future candidacy, though. During the broadcast, Stern informed co-host Robin Quivers that his choice to run will be further influenced by the Republican Party’s support for Donald Trump’s re-election as President of the United States. Stern went on to say that in such a circumstance, he would beat Trump’s a**.
