Miyawaki Sakura has here to take over the world. HYBE unveiled the first official image of the former IZ*ONE member as the first member of its future female group, LE SSERAFIM. On April 4, KST, HYBE’s official channel, published a teaser named SAKURA, which marked the start of the much-anticipated female group’s debut teaser. With the influx of new K-pop female groups, the emerging HYBE group is receiving a lot of attention. From being the first-ever female group to be created by the K-pop agency giant to acquiring two of the most popular IZ*ONE members – Sakura and Kim Chae-won – many already predict it will be monster rookies.

Miyawaki Sakura sheds her past aura and makes brave moves as the first member of LE SSERAFIM.

LE SSERAFIM issued a teaser for the first member reveal on April 4 KST, and it turned out to be one of the most talked-about idols. Miyawaki Sakura appears in the teaser video with a strong avatar, while large LED scenes behind her display a row of ‘I’m Fearless.’ The seasoned superstar demonstrates to admirers that she can pull off any look, including a suit, a dress, and a body-hugging athleisure ensemble.

The teaser images show a close-up of Miyawaki Sakura’s face, emphasizing her double eyelashes, plump lips, and overall flawless beauty traits. In the second shot, the diva is dressed elegantly in a black crop top and skirt. Sakura, the official stage name of LE SSERAFIM, is a 24-year-old idol with a decade of experience. In 2011, she made her debut with HKT48, one of the most popular and influential J-pop groups. In 2016, she took over as the main singer and dancer of the sibling girl group AKB48.

Sakura debuted as IZ*ONE in 2018 after appearing on Produce 48, a South Korean audition reality program. She then stepped away from the J-pop group. Following the disbandment of IZ*ONE in April, she announced her graduation from HKT48 in May of last year. LE SSERAFIM will make its formal debut under Source Music; however, since HYBE purchased the label in 2019, it will be the latter’s first female group. Sakura’s involvement with HYBE had been reported for over a year, but HYBE founder Bang Si-hyuk just acknowledged it formally last month. With the release of LE SSERAFIM in May, the ripple effect may make it the most talked-about female group of 2022.
