Tony Rock said that he had not accepted Will Smith’s apologies when addressing fan inquiries on Twitter. This comes after the actor smacked Rock’s brother, comedian Chris, onstage at this year’s Oscars. When asked what he meant to do in response to Smith’s acts, Tony said, “react.”

Tony Rock, like his brother, is a comedian who turned to Twitter to respond to multiple messages inquiring about the jaw-dropping Oscars event. Tony Rock has verified that Chris Rock and Will Smith did not reconcile on Oscar night. After Page Six learned from rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs that the two would be making peace and working through their issues following the awards ceremony, rumors of the two hashing out their problems began to circulate online.

Tony also addressed accusations that the slap was manufactured. Because an image circulating online, claiming to be high quality, showed Chris Rock wearing a face cushion to lessen the hit, netizens assumed the viral moment was fake.

Tony also stated that he does not agree with Smith’s apologies, and when asked if he would “fight with fire” or take the “professional path” in the aftermath of the Oscars snub, Tony replied, “It’s on bro.”
