Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, star of Kim’s Convenience, has been married to his wife Anna for nearly two decades. Lee and Anna have discussed their relationship and revealed the key to their happy marriage. In an interview with Streets of Toronto in 2017, the actor and his wife described how they met and fell in love. Anna claimed they initially met via an ordinary friend/couple.
“Paul was out at a pub with a sourpuss of a pal. I went out with some college mates. “Paul phoned our common acquaintances to ask what they had planned for the evening,” she recounted.
“Meanwhile, I nearly didn’t go to the pub with them but ended up going anyway… We met, laughed at each other, swapped phone numbers, and the rest, as they say, is history.”

The First Date Of Park Sun-Hyung Lee And His Wife
Lee and his wife also discussed their first formal date. Anna said that the date had brought them all around Toronto. They had supper at the Hot Tomato and a drink at the Living Well. The two then headed to Havana Blues, a martini and cigar bar. “There was a lot of strolling, chatting, and laughing,” she claimed that Lee had brought the latest Tom Waits CD from a record shop visit. Anna claimed that Lee exposed her to wide-screen movies, games like Golden Eye, and sci-fi as they became closer. “I had a great time watching movies and playing video games on my little TV in my Kensington Market basement flat.”
Family And Marriage
Lee and his wife married on December 31, 1999, just hours before 2000 began. Because Anna was “sick as a dog,” the actor admits that the proposal wasn’t as romantic as he had hoped. Lee and Anna married on August 25, 2001, in Toronto, a year and a half after their proposal. Their honeymoon was spent in Orlando, Florida.
Since then, the couple has had two boys, Noah and Miles. When speaking with CBC about his family, Lee said that his oldest son Noah looks like him. “My eldest Noah is into all things geeky, such as Star Wars, which is wonderful,” he said. “He’s like a mini-me of me, and I guess that’s why we butt heads so often because we’re so similar.” Miles, Lee’s youngest kid, was so “not [him]” since he was so robust and athletic. He also mentioned Miles’ nerdy interests, which included stop motion animation and sketching.
Even though Lee believes Miles is different from him, the two continue to share their interests. The Kim’s Convenience actor recently went to Instagram to post photos of himself and his youngest kid having fun while browsing the Toys”R” Us Canada catalog.
