Coco Gauff was the family’s first child. Her birthday is March 13, 2004. Her father, Corey, is a healthcare executive and a former college basketball player. Candi, her mother, is an educator who competed in track and field in college. Coco Gauff has three siblings. Her parents are both great athletes, so it’s natural for her to be interested in sports. Coco Gauff’s parents encouraged her to participate in various sports while they lived in Atlanta. Tennis was her passion. Coco Gauff began her career when she was six years old. She won her first competition, The Little Mo Eight and Under Nationals, when she was eight years old.

Career
Coco Gauff’s hard work plus dedication soon began to bear fruit. When she was 12 years old, she participated in “Les Petit Us 14 & Under Tournament” and made it to the semi-finals. Then she finished runner-up in her 3rd official junior tournament and also in her fourth which was the Junior Grand Slam of the US Open in 2017.
She won her 5th match in style, advanced to the Grand Slam final after losing a set, then followed to defeat fellow national and finalist Katy McNeely. She continued her victories a month later with an extra win against Katy McNeely in the final of the ‘Grade 1 Junior International Roehampton’. These victories propelled him to the No. 1 spot in the world junior rankings.
